Welcome to Nepal

Day 01:Arrive to Kathmandu (We recommend an early morning flight to allow rest and time to prepare)

A warm welcome as we receive you at the airport and drive you to a palace hotel – Hotel Shankar. We will collect your passport to obtain VISA for Tibet. Late afternoon we will have a group meeting to prepare for the Yatra and collect sleeping bags, Down jacket, and Duffle Bags. Welcome Dinner at a Traditional Nepalese Restaurant. Overnight in the Hotel Shankar, Kathmandu.

Day 02:Pashupatinath Darshan, Boudhnath Stupa and Patan Visit

After Breakfast, we will depart at approx 9am to Pashupatinath temple. Proceed for sightseeing tour to Boudhnath and Patan Darbar square. Lunch on your own. Final Preparation for Yatra, shopping, etc Dinner on your own. Overnight stay at Hotel Shankar, Kathmandu

Day 03:Drive to Nylam (12,303 Feet Elevation) Travel Time 5 - 6 Hours

After early breakfast we depart for the Tibet border. Lunch at the border. Clear Nepali customs/immigration and a 15 minute walk across Friendship Bridge to Tibet where the Chinese border police will check passport & visa. Here, our land cruiser awaits (4 yatris plus a driver per vehicle). 30 minute drive from Kodari to Zhangmu, where second immigration formalities have to be done. From Zhangmu to Nylam is 3 to 4 hours scenic drive. Overnight at Guesthouse in Nylam.

Day 04:Rest day in Nylam to acclimatize (12 303 Feet Elevation)

After breakfast we will take a small walk through Nylam village to visit monastery. An option for a 2 hour trek for acclimatization or rest at the guesthouse. Overnight at the same guesthouse.

Day 05:Drive from Nylam to Saga (14,409 Feet Elevation) Travel Time 5 -6 hours (with Lunch break) (365km)

The road today is bumpy. Enjoy the view of snow capped mountains; we will be passing through the first highest pass of Lalung La Pass (5000m) where a magnificent view of high Himalayas can be seen such as Gaurishanker, Shishapangma, and Langtang Himal. We will be crossing the holy river Bhramaputra. Overnight at hotel in Saga. Hot Shower Houses available here

Day 06:Drive from Saga to Mansarovar (14,954 Feet Elevation) Travel Time 6 - 7Hours (370km)

Today is the most auspicious day for all of us as we will see the first glimpse of holy Mt.Kailash and sacred Lake Mansarovar. A lifetime achievement: here we will perform a holy dip, Relax and explore around the Mansarovar area. Overnight in a tent/camp or Guesthouse

Day 07:Drive around Mansarovar towards Raksas Lake (14,975 feet Elevation) Overnight at Mansarovar

Early Morning Havan Puja on lake before breakfast. After Breakfast, you may choose one of the options below:
Visit to Astapad and Nandi Parvat – Additional cost of USD $100 per jeep (4 people)
Visit to Tirthpuri – Additional cost of $200 per jeep (4 people)
Day trip to Saptrishi Cave and Nandi Parikrama – USD 200 per jeep (4 people)
Parikrama of Mansarovar by jeep and visit Raksas Lake – USD $200 per jeep (4 people)
Overnight at the Mansarovar Lake Guest House. We will pack our Back Pack and Repack our luggage for Parikrama days. One Duffle bag per two people is allowed.




Mount Kailash

Day 08:Parikrama to Dehara Puk (16,404 Feet Elevation)

Today, it feels as if the heavens had opened up for us and allowed us to peek inside the world of gods and goddesses. We will walk 18 kilometers through the valley guided by Holy Ganges River on our left and shadowed by Mount Kailash on our right. The feeling of today can only be experienced by one and not described…Have your camera handy to capture amazing views of Mt. Kailash. Overnight in a guesthouse or tent

Day 09: Parikrama continues to Dolma-La Pass (19,500 Feet Elevation)

Hardest but Holiest day of our pilgrimage Yatra with Dolma-La (pass) of 19,500 ft between two valleys: Yamasthal should be crossed to reach the Shiva-sthal while your steps go closer to the pass. Once you reach the top, just do the holiest offering and sit down for meditation. Parvati-stal and Gauri Kund are on the way. By the late afternoon you will arrive to Zuthal Puk (the cave of Miracles. Overnight in tents

Day 10: Parikrama ends and drive to Saga

After walking 3 hours, all the driving crew will be waiting your arrival. We will continue our drive to Saga and arrive by Evening.






Day 11: Drive to Kathmandu. (6 – 8 hrs)

Back from tibet

Early morning, we will depart Saga and drive to border town of Zhangmu where we will clear customs and continue our journey to Kathmandu




Day 12:Rest day in Kathmandu, Overnight at Hotel Shankar

Overnight Stay in a palace hotel – Hotel Shankar.
4pm: We will meet for Briefing at Hotel Shanker meeting room to discuss the details of Muktinath and Janakpur



Day 13: Early Morning Everest View Flight for a Scenic view of the Himalayan Range

Day 14:Morning visit around Janakpur and late after flight back to Kathmandu. Overnight in Kathmandu

Janakpur city is the birth place of Goddess Sita, and is the home of the unique Mithila culture in Nepal. Janakpur city is about 84 miles (135 km) from Kathmandu. It has a temple named Janaki, which is dedicated to the Hindu Goddess Sita. This region also offers an excellent opportunity for visitors to learn about Mithila culture, and people from in and around this peaceful region of Nepal. Hindu pilgrims from India and Nepal visit this region to pay their respect to the Goddess, while many foreigners make a side-trip to the region to learn about the unique Janakpur-life! Janaki Temple Janakpur has the Janaki Temple which is dedicated to Goddess Sita, and also has a Ram and Sita Marriage Mandhir which is said to have been built in the spot where they got married. Marriage anniversary of Ram and Sita is observed every year here through a festival which is also observed throughout Nepal. Rama Mandir Visit the Rama Mandhir, a pagoda-style temple built in 1882, which is located south-east of the Janaki Mandhir. On the Rama Nawami or also written as Ram Navami festival (the celebration of Lord Ram's Birthday), this temple gets thousands of visitors.

Day 15:Take a Private Helicopter to Muktinath.

Muktinath After Early Breakfast, transfer to Airport, fly to Muktinath by Helicopter. Arrival at Ranipauwa walks to Muktinath temple 40 Min. It takes 10 min if you go by motor bike (2 wheeler) to the main entrance of temple, arrive in temple, have holy bath on 108 waterspouts & 2 Kunda, Have darshan and worship to Muktinath god walk to Jwalamai Temple and walk back to Ranipauwa, fly back to Kathmandu, transfer to hotel, free time for rest, overnight.

It is believed that all miseries / sorrows are relieved once you visit this temple (Mukti=Nirvana, Nath=God). The main shrine is a pagoda shaped temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Set into the wall around it is 108 waterspouts from which pour holy water. For Hindus, beside the natural fire representing Brahma and the holy waters, the central meaning of the Muktinath area is the veneration of the god Vishnu in the form of ammonites (shilas) called Salagrama-Shilas. There are many stories which tell of Vishnu turning into stone and all of them are closely connected to the holy Kali Gandaki River. This river, also known as the Salagrami, is a few hours walking from Muktinath-Chumig Gyatsa. Overnight in Kathmandu

Day 16:Fly Home Sweet Home :)

You are saying good bye to the mountains as your holiday tour of Nepal comes to an end today! We hope you enjoyed the tour with us, and we are sure you will be back for a trip to Himalaya again. Approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight a representative from Himalayan Glacier Trekking will transfer you to the airport. On your way home you'll have plenty of time to plan your next adventure in the wonderful country of Nepal.
